As an outgoing and traveling Muslim business woman, I understand the importance of Halaal awareness.
In many cases in the hospitality industry I was not fully satisfied as management and staff could not accommodate me as they were not prepared, informed, or certified to cater for Halaal or meeting any Muslim Friendly requirements.
Halaal Consultancy South Africa was born from the need to raise Halaal Awareness and to create a Muslim Friendly environment to help assist and accommodate our international tourists as well as local communities.
I have been spending a huge amount of time in the hospitality industry, creating my own view on how informed and prepared these establishments are when dealing with Halaal or catering for Muslims.
I have found that even though there is an interest in the Halaal market and pleasing a Muslim traveller or local guest, I still strongly feel there is a lack of awareness in catering for Muslims.
I have decided to inform establishments on the importance of understanding a Muslims way of life by creating an interesting platform of communication for the Hospitality industry.
Halaal Awareness and Muslim Friendly consists of many different aspects and this is why we have created a workshop so we can inform and educate staff and management on the Muslim’s lifestyle encompassing food, travel, accommodation and entertainment.
